The UN has criticised Federal government’s record on women’s rights, recommending changes to a range of policies.
Top of the list included the enactment of a charter of rights and efforts to combat discrimination against women from a range of backgrounds.
It comes after a coalition of Australian NGOs submitted a report to the UN Human Rights council over Australia’s record.
