Saeed Dezfouli abandons hunger strike at Long Bay Forensic Hospital

Saeed Dezfouli, an Iranian citizen, is an involuntary patient at Long Bay Forensic Hospital, where he has been detained for 16 years.

A recent decision by the Mental Health Review Tribunal has thwarted his request to be deported to Iran, his country of origin.

This means he faces continued indefinite detention.
