A major expedition has confirmed modern humans were living in south-east Asia 20 000 years earlier than past evidence suggested.
An international team led by Dr Kira Westaway from Macquarie university found and dated the site where ancient human teeth were discovered 120 years ago by famed Dutch scientist Eugene Dubois.
