Labor has today rejected the coalition’s proposed changes to Australian citizenship requirements.
The Coalition is asking migrants to prove their commitment to Australia – by passing a new citizenship test that demands higher English levels and a stronger understanding of Australian values.
But critics say these changes could unfairly target vulnerable people looking to enter the country.
