More than 440 people were arrested in coordinated raids across Turkey this weekend in what seems to be a tougher policy towards ISIL.

Some experts say the shift is a justified reaction to the spate of in-country attacks over the last year-and-a-half.

But others see the move as part of President Erdogan’s tougher new brand and his attempts to make broader executive powers appear necessary.
