Fears Fairfax newsroom cuts could compromise quality journalism

Staff from the Sydney Morning Herald, The Age, Brisbane Times and other Fairfax newsrooms have gone on strike today over the companies shock dismissal of 120 reporters yesterday. They rallied with outside their offices with supporters today asking for a fair go. The cuts come after earlier layoffs in metropolitan and regional newsrooms over the past four years.
