Environment groups say endangered species are being threatened by mining and development projects in critical habitats and proposed conservation rules may not put an end to the problem. A report put forward by Australian Conservation Foundation, Birdlife Australia and Environmental Justice Australia suggests Australian governments are neglecting national recovery plans, and endangering animal habitats
