Governments cut back on social housing as waiting list grows

New figures from the Australian Institute of Health and Welfare show nearly half of all people looking to get into social housing have been on the waiting list for 2 years. At the same time the federal government has been pulling resources out social housing and has abolished housing advisory bodies which were set up to help deal with these issues.
